Joint Archaeological Studies by the Chuvash State Institute of the Humanities and the Institute of Archaeology named after A. Kh. Khalikov of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences

On April 21, 2022, an expanded meeting of the Academic Council of the Institute of Archaeology named after A. Kh. Khalikov of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences was held with the participation of archaeology specialists of the Chuvash State Institute of Humanities.

In 2018-2021, within the framework of a cooperation agreement between the two institutions, joint archaeological expeditions were carried out at Beganchik and Komintern Paleolithic sites in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as at the Bolshetayabinsky settlement in the territory of the Chuvash Republic.

The following two reports were presented at the meeting of the Academic Council:

In the course of a long discussion, the meeting participants noted the positive experience of joint studies and the need to continue joint archaeological research. As part of the agenda, proposals were discussed on the work schedule of the joint archaeological expedition for 2022-2024.
