Exchange of Experience in the Field of Scientific Restoration of Cultural Heritage Sites

On April 11-21, 2022, the Institute of Archaeology named after A. Kh. Khalikov of the of Tatarstan Academy of Sciences was visited by representatives of the LLP Scientific and Restoration Laboratory Island of Crimea (Kazakhstan, Astana): Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Krym Altynbekov and artist-restorer Elina Altynbekova.

During their visit, specialists from Kazakhstan familiarized with the restoration workshops and collections of the Museum of Archaeology of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Institute of Archaeology named after A. Kh. Khalikov of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, examined the educational restoration laboratories of the Heritage Restoration Department of Kazan Federal University, met the teaching staff and learned about the master program in the field of restoration of historical and cultural heritage, visited the Town-Island of Sviyazhsk Museum-Reserve, and the exposition of the Tatarskaya Slobodka Archaeological Wood Museum.

The specialists from Kazakhstan gave a series of open lectures for restorers of the Institute of Archaeology named after A. Kh. Khalikov of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences and master students of the Kazan Federal University based on the results of their work on the conservation of archaeological items made of organic and inorganic materials.

On April 20, Krym Kasenkhanovich Altynbekov celebrated his 70th Anniversary among fellow restorers and archaeologists in Kazan.
