International Scientific Symposium “ArchaeoGenomics, step by step to understanding the history of ancient domestic animals in Europe”
Institute of Archaeology named after A.Kh. Khalikov and the Institute for Problems of Ecology and Mineral Wealth Use of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences are holding the International Scientific Symposium dedicated to the current issues of archaeogenetics of domestic animals in Europe.
Name of the Symposium:
ArchaeoGenomics, step by step to understanding the history of ancient domestic animals in Europe
The symposium will be held on 25 – 28.02.2020 in the cities of Kazan and Bolgar.
The agenda of the symposium features reports by the leading scientists from the key research departments in the field of archaeogenomics: Great Britain, Denmark, France, Finland and Russia, and a discussion of the current issues of genetic studies of the ancient populations of various domestic animals from the Neolithic and the Middle Age of Europe. The objective of the symposium is an integration of archaeogenetic and archaeozoological studies of ancient domestic and wild animals in Europe.
