50th Anniversary of the Institute of History, Archaeology and Ethnology of the Peoples of the Far-East, Far-Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences

The Institute of History, Archaeology and Ethnology of the Peoples of the Far-East, Far-Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences celebrates its semicentenary on July 1, 2021. Over its semicentennial history, the Institute has become a leading scientific center in the field of humanities in the Far Eastern Federal District. The Institute is a complex and multidisciplinary scientific institution carrying out fundamental research in the field of archaeology, ethnology, regional history, oriental studies, philology and international relations.

A scientific conference is held in Vladivostok from June 30 to July 4 within the framework of the celebration of the 50th anniversary. The conference is held with the participation of scientists representing various scientific centers of the Russian Federation who actively cooperate with the specialists of the Institute of History, Archaeology and Ethnology of the Peoples of the Far-East, Far-Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The Republic of Tatarstan is represented at the conference by Head of the Institute of Archaeology named after A.Kh. Khalikov of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Historical Sciences Ayrat Gabitovich Sitdikov. In his report, he noted the multifaceted and complex scientific activities of the Institute’s specialists and the high-scale cooperative relations which have developed between the two Institutes. Ayrat Gabitovich wished the institute specialists endless creative energy, well-being and outstanding professional achievements.
