The journal “Archaeology of the Eurasian steppes” is included in Scopus

In October 2022, the Scopus Content Selection Advisory Board  (CSAB) decided to include the journal “Archaeology of the Eurasian steppes” in the Scopus international abstract database.

The scientific journal “Archaeology of the Eurasian steppes” dates back to 2007. It began as a collection of scientific articles “Archaeology of the Eurasian steppes” – the official edition of the International Congress of Medieval Archaeology of the Eurasian steppes, the first issue of which was published in Kazan. 25 volumes have been published in this series and it continues to this day as an appendix to the journal. Since 2019 the journal “Archaeology of the Eurasian steppes” has been a peer-reviewed scientific edition of the Higher Attestation Commission.

The priorities of the journal are the publication of the results of archaeological studies, including a complex of archaeological and natural science, as well as urgent historiographical materials. The journal reflects the opinions of scientists on the key problems of archaeology of steppe Eurasia of various epochs and related historical disciplines, contributes to a productive discussion of topical issues of archaeology. The editorial council of the journal includes 17 scientists from 15 scientific centers in Spain, France, Germany, Finland, Romania, Bulgaria and Russia.

The Advisory Board’s review notes that the journal “Archaeology of the Eurasian steppes” is a perspective and well-organized journal with an international editorial council and editorial board.
