Mukhametshina Asiya Salimzanovna

Mukhametshina Asiya Salimzanovna (February 7, 1974, Mary, Turkmen SSR) – Museum Worker, Fund Specialist in the field of Accounting, Storage and Application of Archaeological Heritage, Head of the Museum of Archaeology of the Institute of Archaeology named after A.Kh. Khalikov.

She graduated from the History Department of Samara State University in 1996.  She worked at the Bolgar State Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve as a Research Associate of the Fund Department, and as a Main Curator of the funds of Bolgar Museum-Reserve from 1998 to 2012. In 2010, she was completed training in operation of the Integrated Automated Museum Information System (KAMIS). Since 2013, she has worked as a Research Associate at the Institute of History named after Sh. Mardzhani, participated in the establishment of the exposition of the Museum of Bolgar Civilization (Bolgar, the Republic of Tatarstan). From 2014 until the present day, she has worked as Head of the Museum of Archaeology of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Institute of Archaeology named after A.Kh. Khalikov of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences.

Member of the Academic Council of the Institute of Archaeology named after A.Kh. Khalikov of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, Member of the Restoration Council of the Institute of Archaeology named after A.Kh. Khalikov of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, Chairman of the Expert Stock Commission.

Academic interests: museology, archaeology, preservation of archaeological heritage
