Abdullin Khalim Minnullovich

Senior Research Associate at the Museum of Archaeology of the Institute of Archaeology named after A.Kh. Khalikov of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences.

Abdullin Khalim Minnullovich (January 20, 1981, Almetyevsk) – historian, Candidate of Historical Sciences, expert in the history of archaeology of the Republic of Tatarstan and military history of the Russian Empire. Senior Research Associate of the Museum of Archaeology of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Institute of Archaeology named after A.Kh. Khalikov of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences. He graduated from the history department of Kazan State Pedagogical University in 2003, full-time postgraduate program at the Department of Russian History of Tatar State University of Humanities and Education “with a thesis presentation” in 2006. In 2007 he defended a thesis “Muslim Clergy and Military Department of the Russian Empire (Late 8th – Early 20th cc.)” in 07.00.02 at Sh. Mardzhani Institute of History of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences (academic supervisor G.M. Mustafina). In 2002-2006 he worked as a teacher of history and social studies at Tatar Gymnasium No.3 of Kazan. In 2006-2014 – Research Associate (since 2008 – Senior Research Associate) of the Museum of Archaeology of the Republic of Tatarstan under Sh. Mardzhani Institute of History of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences. In 2007-2008 he concurrently worked as a Leading Specialist – Head of the Museum of History of Statehood of the Tatar People and Republic of Tatarstan at the Kazan Kremlin State Historical-Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve. In 2009 he also worked as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Russian History at Tatar State University of Humanities and Education. In 2013 he was a member of the creative team for the establishment of the Museum of Bolgar Civilization (Bolgar, Tatarstan). In 2013-2014 – Secretary of the Organizing Committee for Preparation and Conduct of the 4th (20th) All-Russian Archaeological Congress in Kazan (October 20-25, 2014). Since 2014 until today he has worked as Senior Research Associate at the Museum of Archaeology of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Institute of Archaeology named after A.Kh. Khalikov of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences. In 2015-2016 he was a Member of the Creative Group for establishment of an exposition of the “City Panorama” exhibition and entertainment complex (Kazan, Dzerzhinsky str., 7). In 2016, he concurrently worked as Head of the Archival Group of the Institute of Archaeology named after A.Kh. Khalikov of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences. In 2016 he worked as Secretary of the Organizing Committee for preparation and conduct of the International Congress of Islamic Archaeology of Russia and the CIS Countries (September 26-28, 2016, Kazan). Since January 2017 he has concurrently worked as Acting Head of the Information and Editorial Department of the Institute of Archaeology named after A.Kh. Khalikov of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences.

Academic interests: history of the archaeology of the Republic of Tatarstan, military history of the Russian Empire.
