The monograph is dedicated to the study of characteristic sources on the history of the Tatar people - Arabographic epigraphic sites. The memorial epigraphy is addressed in the monograph as an integral part of the great historical, cultural and spiritual heritage of the Tatar people. The study covers a wide chronological period of the second half of 13th - first third of 20th centuries. By classifying the epigraphic monuments, the author reveals the characteristic indicators of individual territories, and uses this to as the basis for identification of their regional versions. The epigraphic materials demonstrate that these features have an ethnocultural nature.
