Final All-Russian (with International Participation) Scientific Conference of the Institute of Archaeology named after A.Kh. Khalikov of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences
On February 24-25, 2022 the Institute of Archaeology named after A.Kh. Khalikov of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan will hold the All-Russian (with International Participation) scientific conference in Kazan covering the results of the Institute’s activities in 2021. In addition to the Institute’s specialists, the conference will be attended by 79 archaeologists - researchers representing scientific centers of the Russian Federation (Astrakhan, Volzhsky, Yoshkar-Ola, Moscow, Rostov-on-Don, Saratov), near (Kyrgyz Republic, Bishkek) and far abroad (Germany, Berlin; Canada, Ottawa) actively collaborating with Tatarstan archaeologists. The scientific forum was co-organized by Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University.
The conference will include a scientific seminar “Urban Culture of the Turkic-Tatar Population of Eurasia" based on the results of the fulfillment of the State Program of the Republic of Tatarstan “Preservation of the National Identity of the Tatar people (2020-2024)” (studies of 2021) as part of the implementation of p.1.15 “Stage II of Historical and Archaeological Studies (Expeditions) of Medieval Turkic-Tatar Cities outside the Republic of Tatarstan: Kasimov (Ryazan Oblast), settlement of mausoleums near Lapas village (Astrakhan Oblast), Bai-Balyk (Mongolia), Tsarevskoye settlement (Volgograd Oblast)”, p.1.16 “Scientific Study of Ukek Settlement and its Neighboring Area”, p.1.17 “Study of the Formation of the Turko-Tatars of the Volga Region and Altai in the Middle Ages: the Origins of the Eurasian Steppe Civilization”, p. 1.18. “Interdisciplinary Studies by the Tatars of Medieval Central Asia”.
