It is dedicated to one of the most mysterious ensembles of the settlement - a large fortified inhabited area comprising a number of stone structures. It has been studied since the 18th century, but the most outstanding materials were obtained during the excavations conducted by Moscow and Kazan scientists in the late 20th - early 21st centuries. The volume contains the full scope of information about the site, including an analytical interpretation.
It is intended for experts in archaeology, architecture and fortification historians, religious scholars, experts specializing in Tatarstan and everyone interested in the culture and history of the Volga region.
