The sixth volume on the “Archaeology of the Volga-Urals” is a generalization of archaeological data on the Past of the Volga-Ural region of the second half of the XIII – early XV centuries, i.e. the period of formation and prosperity of the Ulus of Jochi (Golden Horde) on this territory.This is thefirst academic publication combining the High Middle Ages materials, received for more than 200 years of field and analytic research on all types of archaeological sites of the studied period from the Volga river delta to the taiga zone of the Cis-Urals. This collective scienti fic work is of interest not only for archaeologists, but also for specialists of other historical disciplines, as well as for anyone inte- rested in the medieval history of the Volga region and the Cis-Urals.
