Archaeological Studies in Kaybitsky District of the Republic of Tatarstan

The archaeological expedition of the Institute of Archeology named after A. Kh. Khalikov of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences conducts large-scale studies at the “Srednyaya Kulanga Settlement” Cultural (Archaeological) Heritage Site in Kaybitsky District of the Republic of Tatarstan. The area of the security and rescue archaeological excavations is about 30 thousand square meters.

The boundaries of the “Srednyaya Kulanga Settlement” Cultural Heritage Site form 2 sections (western and eastern) separated by a deep ravine. Based on ceramic material and individual finds, it was established during archaeological excavations that the “Srednyaya Kulanga Settlement” can be dated the 18th-20th centuries.
