Khaziev Ainaz Ilkhamovich

Junior Research Associate of the Museum of Archaeology of the Institute of Archaeology named after A.Kh. Khalikov of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences

Khaziev Ainaz Ilkhamovich (November 25, 1988, the Republic of Tatarstan, Sabinsky District) – Archaeologist, Junior Research Associate at the Museum of Archaeology of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences. He graduated from the Faculty of History of the Kazan Federal University in 2010. In 2013, he completed a postgraduate program at the Institute of History named after Sh. Mardzhani of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences. For 5 years he worked as a research assistant at the Kazan Scientific and Technical Center. Since 2016, Ainaz Ilkhamovich has headed the cameral group of the Institute of Archaeology. He is working on a thesis “Non-Glazed Ceramics of Medieval Kazan” under the supervision of A.G. Sitdikov. Since the period of studying at the university, he has participated in archaeological expeditions to Bolgar, Sviyazhsk and Astrakhan Oblast. He conducts security and rescue studies in Kazan and Bolgar settlement.

Academic interests: non-glazed ceramics of medieval Kazan (13th – 16th centuries).
