Journals of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences on archaeology have increased their ratings in Scopus
In June 2023 the international abstract database Scopus published updated indicators of scientific journals. The scientometrical indicators provided by Scopus system are recognized by the world scientific community. Scopus statistics underlie the effectiveness and efficiency of scientific journals. The key indicator, on the basis of which the main ranking of journals in Scopus is built, is CiteScore.
According to the CiteScore the journal “Povolzhskaya Arkheologiya” (The Volga River region archaeology) is included in the 2nd quartile in the category “Archaeology/arts and humanities” (Q1 is the highest of the four levels) and the journal “Arkheologiia Evraziiskikh Stepei” (Archaeology of the Eurasian steppes), entered the Scopus at the end of 2022, was included in the 3rd quartile in the category “History”.
Also the journal “Povolzhskaya Arkheologiya” was ranked 3rd among 15 Russian journals in the category “Archaeology/arts and humanities”.
