Employees of the Institute of Archaeology of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences are winners of RSF competition

The Russian Science Foundation summed up the results of the regional grant competition for conducting basic research and exploratory research by small scientific groups. In 2024, the specialists of the Institute of Archaeology named after A.Kh. Khalikov TAS have won the competition in the priority area of RSF.

The specialists of the Institute will have two years to conduct research on the project “Archaeometal of the Volga-Urals at the turn of the early Iron and early Middle Ages”, which is aimed at studying the peculiarities of technology development of the blacksmithing in the Volga region and the Urals.
