The 10th anniversary collection of scientific articles “Issues of the Volga region archaeology” is dedicated to the first generation of Samara archaeologists, whose 70th anniversaries fell on 2022-2023. They made a significant contribution to the development of Samara archaeology. Many archeological sites of Samara region were discovered and studied by them. Almost all our jubilarians studied at Kuibyshev State University and were the students of the first, second and third graduations from the Department of History in 1974-1976. A separate block of articles is dedicated to the next generation of Samara archaeologists who celebrated their 60th anniversaries.

The collection includes articles by friends, colleagues and students of the jubilarians. The works of the authors of the collection will be useful to all who are interested in archaeology, anthropology and history of ancient peoples of our region.
