Congratulations to restorers on their professional holiday
On July 1 restorers celebrate their professional holiday in Russia. It was established by the Committee for State Control, Use and Protection of Historiсal and Cultural Monuments in 2006. This special date was not chosen by chance. On July 1, 1945 in Leningrad an architectural restoration workshop was opened to restore the monuments destroyed during the war. It marked the beginning of the Soviet restoration school
Preservation of cultural heritage is a laborious and many-sided process. It begins with the study and protection of the monument, its further conservation and ends with its use, control and popularization.
The Institute of Archaeology named after A.Kh. Khalikov of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences has a restoration-analytical group, engaged in preservation of archaeological heritage, rescue it from destruction and disappearance.
We congratulate all the specialists of our restoration-analytical group, as well as colleagues-restorers from different museum centers with this professional holiday! We wish you creative growth and patience in your laborious work! Please accept our sincere words of gratitude for your needful work, development of restoration skills and preservation of cultural heritage!
