At the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences was held annual meeting of Tatarstan scientific community on the Day of Russian Science

On February 8, 2023, the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences hosted a meeting dedicated to the Day of Russian Science, that was attended by the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the State Counsellor of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev, President of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences Makzyum Salakhov, the Rector of Kazan Federal University Lenar Safin, representatives of ministries, departments and the scientific community.

A specialized exhibition was organized at the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, where the geographic information portal “Cultural Heritage of Tatarstan and the Tatars”, worked out by the Institute of Archaeology named after A.H. Khalikov of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, was presented.

President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan Myakzyum Salakhov made the keynote speech at the meeting. In his report, he mentioned the main achievements of the Academy in previous years and outlined the tasks facing scientists of Tatarstan.

The President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Gennady Krasnikov in his telegram congratulated the scientific community on the Day of Russian Science: scientists, teachers, researchers, engineers, students, postgraduates and everyone who decided to connect their life with science and dedicate it to research activities.

Rustam Minnikhanov, the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, made a welcoming speech in front of the gathered scientists. He congratulated all participants of the meeting with their professional holiday – the Day of Russian Science – and wished them new bold ideas, plans, good health. In conclusion the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan handed in state awards for scientific and technical achievements in the past year. A letter of gratitude from the Rais was presented to the Director of the Institute of Archaeology named after A.H. Khalikov of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Historical Sciences Ayrat Sitdikov.
