The session “Archaeology: research experience and interdisciplinary projects” was held at the ROSTKI Forum

On November 14, at the II International Forum “ROSTKI: Russia and China – mutually beneficial cooperation” the session “Archaeology: research experience and interdisciplinary projects, as well as laboratory research experience”, organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan jointly with the Institute of Archaeology named after A.Kh. Khalikov of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, was held.

The specialists in the field of history, archaeology, ethnography and Oriental studies: representatives of the Russian Academy of Sciences, researchers from China, scientists from Mongolia, as well as experts from the Republic of Tatarstan and the History of the Fatherland Foundation made a speech at the session. The moderator was Ayrat Gabitovich Sitdikov, Director of the Institute of Archaeology named after A.Kh. Khalikov TAS. During the meeting, contemporary approaches to the study of history and archaeology were discussed, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary projects and laboratory research.

The exhibition program of the forum included the session “Historical and cultural tourism and nature tourism in agglomerations – potential and barriers to development”, organized as a part of the International Forum REBUS 2024. One of the key speakers was Ayrat Gabitovich Sitdikov, who presented the report “Historical and cultural heritage and experience in the planning tourism routes in the southeastern Tatarstan”.

The participants of the sessions emphasized the need for further development of interdisciplinary cooperation, combining the efforts of scientists and experts from different countries. This approach will contribute not only to a thorough study of historical heritage, but also to the creation of new opportunities for the popularization of culture and tourism in the regions of Russia and abroad.
