The present, 4th volume of the collection of materials of the Congress contains materials reflecting the current problems of archaeology of the Middle Ages of the Eurasian steppes: the characteristics of the burial complexes of the Turks of Central Asia and the late nomads of the 5th–14th centuries are presented; the issues of the relationship of medieval Turks and Mongols within the Golden Horde, some states in the 8th–10th centuries, ethno-cultural processes, including in the Ulus of Jochi. The publication also includes a significant block on the study of monuments of urban culture of the early and developed Middle Ages, including the peculiarities of the formation of urban culture among the nomadic Turks; topographic and architectural features of a developed medieval city, social topography and handicrafts of the city of the Golden Horde period; art of the Middle Ages.
