The monograph continues the series of publications on the archaeology of the Bolgar ancient settlement (UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site). It is dedicated to the publication of the results of studies on pottery kilns in the western part of the medieval urban area. Comprehensive archeological studies were conducted as a part of the project “Cultural Heritage - Island-city Sviyazhsk and Ancient Bolgar”. During studies in 2016 at the excavation site CCXVI, it was possible to record pottery burning kilns, united by a large pre-kiln pit common to all the structures. All four kilns and related auxiliary facilities functioned simultaneously. The time of functioning of the pottery production complexes is determined within the range of 1330-1350.

The monograph is intended for historians, archaeologists, ethnographers, museologists, specialists in the history of cultural heritage and has great cognitive value for a wide range of readers.
