The fourth volume on the “Archaeology of the Volga-Urals” generalizes the results of the studies of archaeological materials, reflecting the cultural and historical processes that took place on the territory of the Middle Volga region and Fore-Urals during the Migration Period. This period went down in history as a time of large-scale migration processes that changed the ethnic map of Eurasia and caused radical transformations in the socio-economic and political way of life of its inhabitants. The edition gives a systematic presentation of available archaeological data, grouped by natural-geographical, chronological and historical-cultural principles. Each section of the volume presents the main positions of researchers on the issues of archaeological materials interpretation.
