All-Russian seminar “Volga Region in the Middle Ages”

On June 14, 2024 the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences hosted the second session of the II All-Russian scientific seminar “Volga region in the Middle Ages” dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Institute of Archaeology named after A.Kh. Khalikov of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences and the 95th anniversary of Alfred Khasanovich Khalikov’s birth.

The organizers of the meeting were the Institute of Archaeology named after A.Kh. Khalikov and the Institute of Archaeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

More than 35 researchers from Moscow, Kazan, Samara and other cities participated in the seminar in online and offline formats.

The seminar presented reports, dedicated to the jubilees of the scientists who devoted themselves to the study of archaeology of the Volga region – A.Kh. Khalikov, G.V. Yusupov, V.F. Gening, as well as information on the results of archaeological research in the Volga region in recent years.
